Mobile Internet Is a World of Opportunity for Xavier Buyse

The ubiquitous iPhone has brought about the greatest of revolutions, something akin a gift from the gods for Mr Xavier Buyse. It brings true mobile internet to your palm, creating a pioneering fantastic experience on the mobile device. Now those of you with more modern Nokia mobile devices know that the operating system Safari has been on the s60 Nokia phones for almost 2 years. The mobile internet experience, which was shown off earlier this year when the iPhone was shown off looks close to to the experience of the new Nokia browser. However Apple has made a multitude of user interface refinements to make it more intuitive to use and an enjoyable experience. Something which will help the industry as a whole as well as entrepreneurs like Xavier Buyse CEO of ADS Media.

The ubiquitous iPhone rectifies one of the most fundamental set backs of the mobile device, input and output. Apple have fixed this with a touch screen allowing for a multitude of finger taps, creates a satisfying user experience allowing for a qwerty keyboard to appear on screen when it is required.

In addition, Xavier Buyse must be thanking his lucky stars that The iPhone will bring two communities together for the first time, the mobile group and the web community. These factions have been apart for a long time. And the introduction of the first mobile phone that web developers and designers can unite over has created a hugely positive impact for mobile web content creation.

Right now it is hard to get anything other than a passing interest in web developers, meaning hardly any content creation, and as a consequence next to no interest from consumers. But now that that people within the internet community are much more inclined to carry Apples iPhone like a badge of honour, always have it at their at their side, I expect a tremendous increase in mobile internet content in the next 6-9 months.

Utilising a screen you can touch is nothing new in cell phones, but allowing for multiple taps on top of this as input for scrolling, resizing, etc, I believe Apple has found an intuitive method of doing complex tasks simply.

To me it is output rather than input which is important. The screen on the The iPhone is remarkable. Text is could not be clearer, with a resolution that is simple to read and use. Mobile phone displays aren’t something which have ever been something to write home about. Most phones look almost identical, resorting for bitmappy text that one comes in two or three sizes. Usually the only thing which is variable is brightness. Apples iPhone makes content on a mobile device look comparable to hardest to duplicate screen of them all, a real life page with print on it.
